Colorado Mesa University

Permaculture Group from 2012

In 2009, Robyn Wilson undertook the ambitious task of bringing a Permaculture Design Certificate to the Western Slope of Colorado.  Using experts in the field of permaculture, she helped develop the curriculum and provided pedagogical training to instructors who had little background in education.  In 2010, she was able to work with Colorado Mesa University (CMU) to accredit the course, making it the first accredited permaculture course to be offered in Colorado.

Since then, Robyn has designed the curriculum for an online format that is offered every 2 years at CMU.  Combining online discussions, interactive exercises, and outdoor practicums, this course has become a central piece to the CMU sustainability curriculum.  Her next course will be offered online at CMU beginning in August 2018.
