The Journey

The origins of Loud Example LLC began in 1999 when owners Robyn and Ryan Wilson met in Grand County during raft-guide training with MAD adventures. Within a year of that fateful summer, Robyn joined the U.S. Peace Corps, and Ryan became a copywriter for an advertising agency in Denver, Colorado. The couple reunited and married in October of 2001. Together they lived and traveled throughout Central America, and then completed 4 Masters degrees at Northern Arizona University.
Robyn's Vision

With a strong belief in service, Robyn has directed recruiting efforts for the U.S. Peace Corps in Northern Arizona, served as an Executive Director for a non-profit adult education center, taught permaculture to multi-generational students in Telluride and directed the efforts of the advising department at Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC).
Ryan's Vision

Throughout his career, Ryan sought opportunities to educate youth and promote public organizations that serve the common good. During graduate school, he oversaw the administration and online advising for a Dental Hygiene online degree completion program. He then worked as a high school teacher, a marketing director for a public library, a college professor and an instructional technology specialist at CNCC.
Returning to Grand County

In May 2017, the couple returned to their origins and started a small consulting firm in Grand County, Colorado known as Loud Example LLC. Their hope is to provide communication, education, and administrative services to organizations who present a message of hope, progress, and sustainable development.

Career Highlights

Filmed and edited 2-minute promotional piece for Student Success Committee; submitted to Bellweather Award for Community Colleges.
Filmed and edited Green Business Round Tables for Telluride New Community Coalition.
Designed website, logo, marketing plan, and advertising for the University Centers of the San Miguel.
International trip leader for Project C.U.R.E since 2017
Introduced yoga classes to Rangely, Colorado, Colorado Northwestern Community College, and Rocky Mountain National Park from 2013 to 2017
Planted 10,000 trees in El Salvador as a volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps
Created the first accredited Permaculture Design Certification course and the Sustainability Certificate for Environmental Science at Colorado Mesa University. Taught six permaculture courses for CMU to date since 2010 with 90 students.
Received $150,000 state grant plus schoarships for Colorado Northwestern Community College for first-generation/low-income students.
Advised thousands of students from online and physical campuses in career and academic counseling; planned the interdisciplinary event, "Global Awareness Week" at Colorado Northwestern Community College.
