There are many ways of capturing the spirit of an idea. Since 2010, Ryan Wilson has filmed and edited promotional videos for a variety of different clients. For each video, Ryan was the primary cinematographer and editor for the project. He then helped distribute the videos to be seen on websites, conferences and promotional events.
Wilkinson Public Library.
The Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride, Colorado has been recognized as a five-star library by the Library Journal for the past 10 years. As the Marketing Director for the library, Ryan was responsible for promoting the library and the public programming it offered on a nightly basis. In the video below, the Program Director explains how the library approaches library programing. This video was shown at the ALA Conference in 2013.
Colorado Northwestern Community College
The Student Success Team at Colorado Northwestern Community College included professors, administrators, and coaches from across campus. Their mission was to work collaboratively and break down communication barriers that impeded a student's ability to succeed at the college. Due to the college's small side, this committee represented a selling point for parents, athletes and students who could benefit from individual attention. This 1 minute video was used in recruiting students to the college.
Permaculture Design Certificate
During the summer of 2010 through 2013, the University Centers of the San Miguel hosted a Permaculture Certification Course in Telluride, Colorado. This video was used to promote the course and attract students from across the nation to attend.
Permaculture in El Salvador
The Institute for Permaculture in El Salvador is an organization that uses the principles of the Permaculture philosophy to help farmers practice sustainable farming methods. This video was part of a Master's thesis for Robyn, who edited and filmed the project. The film promoted the work of the organization and was featured at a Permaculture Conference in Brazil in 2006.
Telluride Mushroom Festival
An annual event since 1979, the Telluride Mushroom Festival is a staple of the festival landscape in Telluride, Colorado. This video was used for promotional purposes in 2011 as the organizers of the event sought participants for the next year.
Ridgway High School
Every year students at Ridgway High School participate in an experiential education week. As the graphic design instructor at the school, Ryan taught students how to film and edit a video that showcased the experience of students during this week. Please note: the music will not play due to copyright requirements.
